PromptPod (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a search-first prompt library that helps users store, retrieve, and reuse AI prompts.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address

• Encrypted password

• Account metadata (created_at, last_login)

Authentication is handled via Supabase.

Your Library Data

PromptPod stores the content you create, including:

• Prompt titles

• Prompt content

• Notes

• Tags

• Contexts (reusable instruction blocks)

• Locked versions (snapshots)

• Version history metadata

• Use counts and timestamps

• Import/export metadata

This content belongs to you.

We do not read your prompts manually.

We do not use your prompts to train models.

Usage Data

We collect limited product usage information, such as:

• Copy actions

• Search interactions

• Feature usage (e.g., Refine, when enabled)

• Error logs

This data helps us improve reliability and performance.

We do not profile prompt content.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide search and retrieval functionality

• Sync your library across devices

• Enable JSON export and import

• Maintain version history and locked snapshots

• Provide optional AI features when explicitly triggered

• Improve product stability

We do not sell your data.
We do not share prompt content with advertisers.

3. AI Features

PromptPod includes optional AI-assisted features (e.g., Refine).

Important:

• AI features are explicitly user-triggered

• Your prompts are never sent to AI models automatically

• A global privacy toggle allows you to disable all AI processing

• Refine operates on current content only, never on Locked versions

When AI features are used, selected content may be sent to a third-party AI provider (e.g., Gemini API) solely to generate the requested output.

We do not use your content for AI training.

4. Data Storage and Security

PromptPod is cloud-first and uses:

• Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth)

• Row Level Security (RLS) to isolate user data

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS)

Each user’s data is scoped by user_id.

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data. No system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Portability

You can export your entire library at any time.

Export includes:

• Prompts

• Contexts

• Locked snapshots

• Metadata

Exports are delivered as a JSON file.

Your data remains portable and under your control.

6. Import and Rollback

When you import data:

• Records are merged by portable identifier (source_id)

• Local data is never automatically deleted

• Each import session is tracked

• Imports can be rolled back within 24 hours

PromptPod does not modify Locked content during import.

7. Data Retention

Your data remains in your account until:

• You delete specific prompts or contexts

• You delete your account

Deleted items may remain recoverable for a short undo window (currently 60 seconds).

After account deletion, your data is permanently removed from active systems within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Third-Party Services

PromptPod uses:

• Supabase (database + authentication)

• Optional AI providers (when explicitly triggered)

These providers may process data on our behalf.

We do not allow third parties to use your data for independent purposes.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

PromptPod uses:

• Authentication cookies (required for login)

• Local storage for UI state and session caching

• Clipboard access for copy functionality

We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including UK and EU), you may have the right to:

• Access your data

• Export your data

• Correct inaccurate data

• Delete your data

• Restrict processing

• Object to processing

You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

11. Children's Privacy

PromptPod is not intended for users under 13 (or equivalent age under local law).

We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. International Transfers

Your data may be stored in regions where our infrastructure providers operate.

We rely on appropriate safeguards provided by our infrastructure partners.

13. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will:

• Update the “Last updated” date

• Notify users where appropriate
